Review:
This Stephen King adaptation revolves around a writer who years earlier was thought to have a brain tumour. It turned out that it was actually a growth from a twin brother who never developed. I forgot to mention that the stories he writes are crime novels under an alias. When people start turning up dead fingers start to point at our author, but I shouldn't really say any more. It's a pretty good idea really in theory and this execution was alright. The book though was not one of King's best and well the movie followed suit too unfortunately. Some of the effects created with the hundreds of birds is simply impressive which makes it worth a view at least. I think the biggest issue is Amy Madigan as Thad's Wife Liz, really unlikeable but that was just a personal irritation by her I think. I'm sure if you are a fan you'll want to watch this, but it just doesn't stand out as one of his better adaptations regardless of how George Romero tried.
