Review:
This is one of the best blackest of comedies that one will likely ever come across. It's continually absurd, hilarious and has many surprises. It's about a trio of hippies who don't want to work for "the man", so to make money they snatch a girl named Candy (of course). Her father works at a jewelry store, so they send him a ransom note, but when he doesn't comply things get even more twisted. Also the other big plot here is a young autistic boy (possibly autistic, we aren't really sure) who is cruelly and humorosly abused by everyone, sometimes illogically so. He is the one who witnesses the crime but let's just say that he isn't the world's greatest help. This in some ways is rather sadistic and cruel, but the thing is it's so funny throughout that it's impossible to be effected by the horrors within. That being said, this is most definitely an exploitation flick, not something to show to impressionables or children. It's even hard to describe because I really want to talk about all of the strange things that happened within (the Police doll?, the morgue ear?) but really what I should say is just watch it. Join the ranks and enjoy one of the strangest and most entertaining films of all time.
